Daniel Peña Bresciani was born in Lima, Peru in 1950, he studied Art at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima ; he worked and studied at Galeria degli Uffizi in Florence, Italy at the Gabinetto dei Disegni, Uffizi Gallery.
He has participated in different workshops, from Traditional Chinese Painting to Japanese Sumi-e, and has taught watercolor techniques since 1980.
Daniel has published essays and given conferences about watercolor at different institutes, Art Museums and Universities.
Also is an award winning artist in different cultural and art events, like the XX Watercolor National Competition of the Peruvian-American Cultural Institute.
Jury member in numerous artistic contests like the “John Constable” of Peruvian-British Association or the National Watercolor Competition of the Peruvian-American Cultural Institute.
He is responsible for the Watercolor and Drawing Workshop at the Art Museum Of Lima , Peru and Senior Lecturer in Drawing for de I.P.P
He has specialized in waterfalls and animal wild life, teaching courses and given demonstrations in faculties such as Fine Art, Graphic Design and Architecture at different Peruvian universities.
He makes Exhibitions since 1980 in individual and group shows.
He has led workshops in watercolor technique, given in English, for various organizations and associations.
He had been representing Peru in the V International Watercolor Biennale, in Mexico D.F in 2002.
